Learn how to make these cute DIY Flower Party Favors – great for birthdays, wedding favors, bridal showers, and baby showers. They’re quick and easy to make! I used the stamp set Flower Shop to make them. One nice thing about this stamp set is that there is a coordinating punch. So you don’t have to fussy cut all those flowers. It makes assembling the flower favors go much faster.

Now that my middle daughter is almost a teenager, she has outgrown character-themed birthday parties. So this year I am going with pretty and feminine for her decorations. Since her birthday is in a couple of weeks, I have been busy making flower party favors for all her guests. They are so quick and easy to make, I thought I would share the tutorial here.

I am inserting these flower picks into souffle cups filled with party mints. However, they would also make cute cupcake toppers. I haven’t quite decided if we are going to have a cake or cupcakes, but if I go the cupcake route, I will definitely be making more of these to use as toppers.

The stamp set I used to make these DIY flower party favors is called Flower Shop. I love it because it comes with 6 different patterns of pansies. You can get a coordinating punch which makes cutting out the stamped images a breeze!

I went with soft pastel colors to match the colors of the mints. I used Daffodil Delight, Blushing Bride, and Wisteria Wonder Ink to stamp the flowers.

After I stamped the images, I used the pansy punch to cut them out. For each pick, you will need 2 flower shapes. You will also need to punch out or die cut a leaf from green. I have a punch I used, but the Leaflets Die Set also has several nice leaf shapes you can use.

I used a large glue dot on the backside of one of the flower shapes and stuck the coffee stirrer to it. You can also use a glue gun, if you prefer. Then add Fast Fuse adhesive to the back side of the other stamped image and stuck them together with a leaf shape sandwiched in between the two. (You want a pretty strong adhesive so the two flowers don’t pull away from each other. Fast Fuse works well for this!)

Cut about 2 inches off the end of the coffee stirrer to make it a bit shorter, so it won’t fall over when you insert it in the souffle cup. (If you plan to use these as cupcake toppers, you will probably want to leave the coffee stirrer uncut so the flowers stand a little bit taller.) Take a sharp knife and poke a hole into the lid of the souffle up. If you twist as you push into the plastic, you will get a round hole. You don’t want to make it too large though or the flower pick will fall over.

Use a bit of baker’s twine to tie a bow around the flower pick. Fill the souffle cup with party mints then add the lid. Insert the flower pick into the lid, and you are done.
