June’s Paper Pumpkin kit arrived yesterday! It is always so exciting when I spy that red box in my mailbox. I always love the surprise of seeing what this month’s project will be.
Not familiar with Paper Pumpkin?
Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription box just for paper crafters. It contains everything you need to make that month’s project. (Although you might want to have a tape runner and scissors on hand.) Each month’s kit contains an exclusive stamp set, a mini ink pad or two, and all the paper and embellishments you need. If you don’t have a lot of stamp sets, it’s a great way to start building up your collection because you will get a new stamp set each and every month.
The monthly projects typically take about 20-30 minutes to make. It’s perfect for people who don’t have a lot of craft supplies on hand, but still want to get creative every once in awhile. It makes a great gift for seniors or nursing home residents as well. They may enjoy getting a fun surprise in their mailbox and it gives them a craft project each month to look forward to. It’s also a great gift for new moms who need some time to themselves to unwind and craft. It’s even great for kids. My two teenager daughters love Paper Pumpkin so I get a kit just for them each month.
You can make the projects according to the included instructions, or you can feel free to get creative and make alternate projects. I tend to go the creative route. I use nearly all of my Paper Pumpkin monthly craft subscription boxes to use for Project Life scrapbooking. It’s always so much fun to find ways to use up the kit’s contents in my scrapbooks.
So let’s take a peak at what is in this month’s craft kit…
This month’s Paper Pumpkin craft kit is called One in a Melon. Perfect for summer crafting, right? My youngest daughter went gaga when she saw the pineapples on the card bases. For some reason, she is obsessed with pineapples right now. I am not quite sure why LOL.
The kit contains supplies to make 6 cute cards and 4 sweet little gift bags. So stinkin’ cute! I mean how adorable is that tissue paper that is printed with watermelon seeds?! Love it!

So let’s talk about this stamp set:
Ok guys, so watermelon is like my favorite food of all time. We get at least 2 a month during the summer. So I can’t tell you how excited I was to see that this stamp set was watermelon themed. I can think of a ton of uses for it already. Love it!
So you get a stamp for the rind and 2 stamps for the watermelon slice . One has seeds and then the other has the word Sweet. I love that it is two different pieces so you don’t have to mess with using markers to color the different parts of the watermelon.
This stamp set includes 5 different sentiments – the word sweet is on one of the watermelon slices. It also comes with a Hooray stamp which you use on the banner for the card. Then there are 3 other sentiments in a pretty cursive font.
- a little something sweet
- kindly deliver to:
- it’s your day
I love that kindly deliver to stamp! I am going to start using that on all my envelopes.
Finished projects from this month’s Paper Pumpkin craft kit:
This card is just adorable and oh so summery. The background has watermelons, pineapples, and citrus fruit. The banner pops up off your card which is such a fun touch. Then of course the watercolor die cut, the leaf stickers, and the baker’s twine bow adds pops of color which makes it really pretty and perfect for summer..
The little gift bag is super cute. The print on the bag looks just like the outside of the watermelon and then the patterned tissue paper is pink with watermelon seeds. So stinkin cute! Then you use the die cut pieces to make a little gift tag for the card. So much fun to use as a gift bag for summertime birthdays.
I just love this month’s kit. So much fun! I can’t wait to use the rest of the contents to make a fun Project Life page or two.
