Having trouble finding plastic canvas in local stores? I can hardly ever find plastic canvas in my local craft stores anymore. So I buy my plastic canvas in bulk on Amazon.
Bunny Ears Pattern
Main Body Pattern
I used tan yarn to make this Easter Bunny Squeezums pattern, but you could also use grey or white yarn.
Placing the wrong sides of the ear front and ear back together, overcast the ear in tan yarn. Leave the bottom 2 ribs un-stitched so you can attach it to the bunny body later. Repeat for the other ear.
Stitch all three pieces of the bunny body. Referring to the image above for placement, whipstitch the three pieces together.
Overcast the bunny mouth. (This is the area indicated on the photo above by black arrows.)
Referring to the earlier picture, fold A to B with the wrong sides facing each other and whipstitch together. Whipstitch the ear into place where indicated on the picture. I used 3 stitches per hole to help secure it. (I found it easier to add the ears in as I was whipstitching A and B together.)
Fold C to D with the wrong sides facing each other and whipstitch together. Whipstitch the other ear into place where indicated on the picture. I used 3 stitches per hole to help secure it.
Use a hot glue gun to glue 2 oval googly eyes into place. Cut (3) 2 inch pieces of white floral stem. Twist together at the center to form the whiskers. Refer to the picture for placement. Hot glue whiskers into place. Then glue a pink pom pom into the center. Turn the bunny over, and glue a white pom pom on for the tail.
Squeeze the cheeks together and insert a Hershey’s Kiss or other small candy.
